APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR STUDENT REGISTRAR SUMMER POSITION FUNDED BY GRIGG-LEWIS FOUNDATION
The Grigg-Lewis Foundation Workership Program is taking applications to fill a student registrar assistant position it will fund at the Niagara History Center this summer.
The registrar assistant will work from mid-May to August, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. The assistant must be detail-oriented, willing to learn the computer program PastPerfect to enter museum accessions, and have good penmanship and organizational skills. This individual will also be expected to assist with phone calls, museum visitors and tours when needed. The assistant must enjoy history and be willing to do research on museum artifacts and donations.
Eligible applicants must be students currently enrolled in college or accepted for college this fall, and must be residents of Eastern Niagara County. This geographic area includes Lockport, Newfane, Gasport, Sanborn, Cambria, Wilson, Ransomville, Wheatfield, Royalton, Hartland, Barker, Pendleton, Middleport and Somerset. Applicants cannot be a close relative of a History Center staff or Board member.
