The History Center’s “Step Back in Time Players” re-enactor troupe has plans for a very busy summer. Come on out and see these Lockport and Niagara County greats from the great beyond – they’re just dying to meet you!
The “Step Back in Time Players” have two remaining tours this summer through Buffalo Tours. Charlie Begley of the “Players” will lead an architectural tour of Lockport’s Main St. on Friday, August 22, at 1 p.m. Begley is a Latin instructor at Niagara University and retired Latin teacher at Lockport High School. He also re-enacts as three late Lockportians, artist “Raphael Beck,” inventor and entrepreneur “Birdsall Holly,” and early Lowertown physician “Dr. Josiah Skinner.” Begley has a vast knowledge of Lockport history and is a very entertaining speaker. This tour is $10 per person; please reserve at Buffalo Tours, (716) 852-3300.
Cold Springs Cemetery will come to life again for Buffalo Tours at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, with “Step Back in Time” characters and re-enactors to be announced. This tour is also $10 per person. Please call Buffalo Tours for details.
Take a “Step Back in Time” into history this summer and enjoy historic Lockport’s sights and stories told by very friendly residents of the “next world” and their re-enactor representatives. Call the Niagara History Center at (716) 434-7433 for more information.
